That is what Papandreou says. Not literally of course but his actions speak louder than words.
The problem is not only that the government spends too much money it is also that the Greeks do not pay enough taxes. This is what he believes so he has done 2 things to address the “problems”
Because the government spends too much he has reduced spending a bit.
Because Greeks don’t pay enough taxes laws have been passed so they pay more.
