News Cymru

Two sides to every headline

First of all let me summarise some of the key points as given by the Greek media and Greek politicians

1. The PASOK regime is wants to borrow money to cut spending.

2. The PASOK regime wants to slash the public sector and for some reason it needs money to do that.

3. The PASOK regime wants to increase Greece’s debt and interest payments in order to reduce Greece’s debt and interest payments

4. The PASOK regime want to sack 30,000 employees but it wants to pay them 60% of their wage for one year for doing nothing (enforced gardening leave) before it sacks them.

5. The PASOK government is destroying the Greek private sector in order to get loans so it can sack public sector workforce

6. The PASOK regime is slashing and burning the Greek private sector to give Greece a prosperous future.

After writing those points I feel like I am reading some sort of twisted reality.

Unfortunately according to Greece newspapers this is actually what is happening or least what the Greek people are being told.

There is no reason for the Greek government to be so desperate for the Troika bail out, it does absolutely no good to anyone living in Greece, private sector or public sector.

The bail out forces Greece to cut it’s public sector workforce slowly

The bailout forces Greece to destroy it’s private sector

The bailout forces Greece to sell profitable state run companies to foreigners

The bailout forces Greece to start handing over control over it’s own finances.

I have a different theory to that put out by the PASOK regime.

1. The PASOK regime is using the Troika as an excuse to sack public sector workers

2. The PASOK regime is using the Troika as the scapegoat for selling off Greek assets to international bankers

3. The PASOK regime is burning the Greek economy in order to create a crisis

4. The PASOK regime is creating a crisis in order for Greeks to accept giving up sovereignty to the EU

5. The PASOK inner party will give Greek sovereignty to the EU as they have been promised positions in the new EU government of Greece.

To repeat, it makes no sense for the Greek government to be requesting a bailout with such draconian measures which destroy the future of Greece.
