and here are some of the replies I got

living standards increase so do the costs, it is cheaper then ever before to live a modest life, which very few in the US actually live.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to come up with an answer.

However the video does not deal with the cost of products. It talks about labour hours. I think you will agree that labour hours are a small percentage of the actual cost of something. For example, if you live in Europe you pay minimum 50% of your labour in taxes so straight away the video is ignoring a huge cost. Also materials, energy costs etc need to be taken…. visit the link on my feed to the rest of the answer, no room here!

into consideration.  If we look at the price of Coca Cola in 1983 compared to today it is almost 4 time as expensive in terms of Gold. We have to look at prices in terms of Gold to adjust for inflation.

So even something as simple as Coca Cola in the last 30 years is much more expensive.

Everything has gotten significantly cheaper despite inflation, if you need examples of things either not going up in price or actually decreasing DESPITE a average 5% inflation…then you must not live in this country.
