Totteham Riots – Interesting Questions

People are saying the police have their hands tied, they are dammed if they do dammed if they don’t. But this is the same police force that has shot a man dead in the main shopping street in Tottenham the same day.

Powerless is not a term I would use.

The media is concentrating on the rioting, I think everybody would condem that. The question that should be asked is what were the police doing to let such damge happen?

Apparently they had advance notice of where the rioting was going to take place in Enfield yet the trouble still kicked off.

There was a criminal defence lawyer on Radio 5 Live this morning saying that questions should be asked as to how the police could let such massive damage occur in arguably the world’s premier city. Especially considering the mass police presence.

Witnesses were saying the police were just standing off the protestors. Sounds a lot like Toronto during the G20.

Questions need to be asked about the Tottenham riots
1. Who were the perpetrators of the initial rioting
2. What didn’t the police try to stop rioting when they had advance notice
3. What exactly happened with the regards to the murder of Duggan
