Timothy Speiss vs Stefan Molyneux – Are You The Government’s Property?

Tim Speiss was being interviewed by Bloomberg TV during a section named “Investor Worry: Entitlements, Stagnate Job Market” (video below).

During that interview Tim Speiss states the following and I quote “we have human capital here that the government could be generating more revenue from”, Tim Speiss then goes onto state that this is a wasted opportunity for the government.

To me, it seems Tim Speiss is saying that people are the property of government and that the government is not farming its property ie the citizens, hard enough.

This way of thinking fits in perfectly with Stefan Molyneux’s idea that people are merely animals that are farmed by government for their taxes.

Question is who is right?

Is Tim Speiss right in saying that people are the property of the government and that people simply have to be taxed more in order to give governments more revenue or is Stefan Molyneux correct when he says it is completely immoral for the government to treat you as if you are its property?

The link below is to Tim Speiss’s interview on Bloomberg and the video below is Stefan Molyneux discussing the relationship between people and their government in terms of a farmer and his animals.
