Papandreou – A Victim of Ideology?

I have been trying to think of reasons why Papandreou would continue his course of action given all the evidence that what he is doing is bad for the country of Greece

And perhaps Papandreou is a victim of his on ideology, he is a socialist which obviously means he believes in central planning yet the austerity program, the government deficit is telling him that the government must exercise less control, the government must shrink if it is to solve Greece’s problem.

Perhaps Papandreou is having a hard time acknowledging this fact, perhaps he is unable to comprehend this solution, perhaps he does not want to recognise this solution and so he is bringing Greece to it’s knees due to his own close mindedness.

As I mentioned before, the IMF has told the UK that increasing taxes during a recession would be counter productive, yet when Papandreou suggests increasing taxes as a solution in Greece they IMF accepts his proposals.

Is it possible that Papandreou is being manipulated by the IMF and the World Bank. Is it possible that Papandreou is being used by the IMF and World Bank to help them get want they want, ie state owned assets.

Is it possible that Papandreou is blind to the manipulation, is it possible that he believe that the IMF and World Bank are working in his best interests? If so, Greece has a major problem, Greece has at it’s head someone who is deluded and possibly star struck by the media attention he his receiving and star struck from the people he is getting to meet. If so Greece is a train being driven by a driver who has lost touch with reality and his putting the country in grave danger.

Alex Jones says Papandreou has sold out the Greek people and should be arrested for treason

The IMF and World Bank could be humouring Papandreou. Panadreou puts forwards ideas to cut the government deficit which involves Greece raising taxes and the IMF and World Bank nod in agreement while in their minds they lick their lips and cannot believe how lucky they are to be dealing with someone that will help them achieve their goals so swiftly.

Papandreou believes that the okay from the IMF and World Bank must mean the they believe that the plan he has put forward is best for the country but is it possible the Papandreou could be so deluded and naive to think the IMF is thinking in the best interests of the Greek people?

Either Papandreou thinks he is doing the right thing, the socialism has the answer and that the support of the IMF shows that socialism is the way forward or he is aware of the problems that his policies are causing but he has a longer term plan which does not involve the prosperity of Greece.

Either way the Greek people need to show their concerns and do what they can peacefully to get a more competent leader into power. I believe Papandreou is putting Greece onto a silver platter for the intenrational banks to carve up as they wish. I believe they should be stopped.
