N.Korea & British Political Philosophies Identical

The big difference between N.Korea and Britain is not fundamental. Fundamentally the two political systems, socialism, are the same in N.Korea and Britain. The big difference comes from the degrees the socialist systems are practiced yet the mass media are constantly claiming N.Korea is “backwards” whereas Europe is “modern” and how N.Korea is poles apart from European countries.

In N.Korea people donate 100% of their time to the greater good. In Wales and Britain people donate over 50% of their time to the greater good. Not so different. Wouldn’t you agree?

The mainstream media and European governments obviously believe 50% communism/socialism in perfect whereas 100% communisim/socialism is completely wrong. How they can justify this belief is unclear.

France24 had an “exclusive” documentary which they broadcast today. The documentary was made by a couple of French journalists who masqueraded as tourists on a week-long trip to N.Korea.

The documentary consisted of hidden camera video footage as well as narration about N.Korea in general.

The thing that was most striking for  me was the apparent way France24 was portraying N.Korea as something completely foreign to the West when in fact N.Korea’s politicial system is very close to that found in Europe

The very first part of the video immediately highlights how similar is N.Korea is to Britain when the N.Korean regime claims to be a socialist state.

The video then goes on to highlight how N.Korea is somehow in the dark ages and Europe is so advanced.

To highlight the similarities between N.Korea and the UK which are completely overlooked by the mainstream media.

N.Korea vs UK – Democracy

There are elections in N.Korea just like Britain. Whereas in N.Korea there does not appear to be a choice in Britain there appears to be a choice be arguably all parties do the same sort of things or very close to the same thing once they are elected.

N.Korea vs UK – Socialism and the “Greater Good”

As I mentioned at the start, in N.Korea, people donate 100% of their time to the greater good whether people like it or not. In Wales and the UK people are forced to donate at least 50% of their time to the greater good whether they like it or not.

N.Korea vs UK – Control of Information

Information is controlled in N.Korea and also in Wales and Britain. The controls in N.Korea are simply more rigorous and thorough. But with the government in the UK now saying they want to control freedom of speech on the internet by bypassing the legal system the UK is a sign that Britain is going in the direction of stricter control of information.

N.Korea vs UK – Security

Security is massive in N.Korea. While terrorism was not in the vocabulary of the journalist in the France24 documentary the purpose for the massive security  in N.Korea is the same as that in Britain & Wales. Namely to protect the country and it’s people.

N.Korea is afraid that foreigners what to infiltrate the state and pollute the Communist ideals or going even further, N.Korea believes foreigners may want to bring down the state.

So they justify the largest army (per capita) in the World on grounds of “security”. Just like the UK justifies increased police powers and army on the streets.

Security in N.Korea goes as far as limiting free speech, limiting access to technology, limiting freedom of the press, limiting contact to the outside world, constantly hype up threat of attack by foreign entities, hyping up threat of attack from domestic entities and enemies of the state, sound familiar?

N.Korea vs UK – Advancement

Given the France24 and the mass international media in general are also more than ready to run down N.Korea as being backward perhaps they should also donate some of their time to commenting on how western countries are also backwards given that the political philosophies in Europe and in n.Korea are the same

The political system in N.Korea is simply more extreme that in the west.

Following the argument of the mass media to its logical conclusion.

If people being forced to give 100% of their working life for the greater good is bad. People in Europe being forced to give 50% of their working life for the greater good is better, so says the mainstream media.

Surely people not being forced to give any of their working life to the greater good as the government defines it would be the model of a modern and free society?
