Two sides to every headline

Merkel – Greece Free To Stay In Euro No Matter What

Angela Merkel has publicly stated that Greece is free to stay in the Euro no matter what happens to the government finances.

The Guardian today

Merkel insisted that no country should be forced out of the eurozone as Sarkozy stressed that the “fiscal compact” would be ready to allow a new treaty to be signed on 1 March.

The international media is constantly trying to portray Sarkozy and Merkel as having the same goals, which is not correct.

In Greece there has been a constant campaign of alienating Angela Merkel from the Greek population.

From my point of view this appears to be an orchestrated plan to censor the views of Merkel from the Greek people.

Merkel is telling Greeks they have a choice.

Merkel is telling Greeks they do not have to go through this artificial austerity if they do not want to, the Greek government on the other hand is telling Greeks that if they do not go along with the “measures” it could mean the end of the country, or as the Greek central bank governor put it, if Greeks do not go along with the austerity measures then Greece will be sent back 50 years.

If there are two people, one is threatening me and the other is talking to me, I am more inclined to listen to the person that is talking to me and that person is Merkel.

From the start Merkel has been extremely reluctant to give the Greek government anymore money, I think she knows, like many economists, that the Greek government buarocracy is a black hole for taxpayer money.

Greeks themselves do not trust the Greek government, Merkel is right not to the trust the Greek government.

Whenever you see YouTube videos from Greek politicians they always associate themselves with the people.

The Greek politician is always trying to say that Greek government problems are also problems for the people, which is not true.

The Greek government has run up these debts and the expects the taxpayers to foot the bill. Greek are resisting giving more money to the Greek government and Merkel agrees.

Merkel appears to be the only international politician who is putting the pressure on the banks to take massive hits on their loans.

Not once did I read of Papandreou putting the screws to the international banking cartel and forcing them to cut their expectations.

From Merkel the only news you get is that she if forcing the banks to take bigger and bigger losses.

Sarkozy, the poodle of the bankers is continuing to push for bailouts and for expanding the power of the ECB and Sarkozy is continuing to push for the devaluation of the Euro currency in order to devalue the debt of the banks.

Sarkozy is a tool of the banks and is determined to preserve the system that has so badly let the people of Greece down.

Sarkozy not only wants to preserve the current system, he also wants to expand the power of the people that created the problem ie the central banks.

This news headline “Merkel – Greece Free To Stay In Euro No Matter What” should be plastered over every front page in Greece if there was any fairness in the Greek media. The fact that I have note read a single article reinforces my beliefs that the media in Greece is either bought and paid for or the journalists in Greece are completely immersed in the artificial reality they have created and have lost the ability to look at their own work and the work of their international colleagues in a critical way.
