Greece – 1 Simple Fact That Highlights The Absurdity Of The Troika

The Greek government spends almost 2 billion Euros a month more than it takes in in taxes.

Apparently the next bailout for the Greek government is resting on a saving of 300 million Euros a year.

It is alleged the Greek government is saying it wants to cut the government workforce by 150,000 people.

Ignoring when this will happen let’s look at the cost savings if it were to happen immediately.

Let us assume the average government worker gets paid 10,000 Euros a month, cutting 150,000 workers will save around 1.5 billion Euros a month, still not enough to balance the books.

No plan in the last 3 years, realistic or not, has come close to fixing this problem.

The fact that every reform and deficit cutting measure seems to have failed no sane person can believe that the Greek government can avoid a default.

If there is one man who understands the situation it is Yanis Varoufakis

If you want to see Yanis, he is in the second half of this video but I would recommend watching the whole thing
