Greece – 1 Million Euro Transfer, Greek Government Propaganda & Fascist Tendencies

The Greek government, in alarmingly fascist behaviour, is giving the Greek population financial advice although it has no obvious authority for doing so considering the state of Greek government finances.

Not only is it extremely worrying that the government would feel it appropriate to give financial advice, the advice it is giving to Greek is so obviously one-sided. And their “advice” to the Greek people goes completely against the advice of international credit rating agencies.

The Greek government is on a massive offensive telling Greeks to keep their money in Greek banks. The Greek government, is also using one of its favourite propaganda techniques to try to illustrate its point.

Name Calling. The Greek government is calling anyone who does not keep their money in Greek banks unpatriotic and working against the efforts of the Greek people etc etc. Making anyone who is transferring their money out of Greek banks for whatever reason guilty by association.

This government propaganda has reached new levels in the last week and could have overstepped the mark in what looks like a massive misjudgment.

An apparently independent party charged with addressing corruption has accused a unamed politicians of transferring 1 million Euros abroad illegally.

Not only does it now appear that the transfer was completely normal. It was also not done my any politician.

The relation of the party that made the transfer has now come out and is quite rightly considering legal action against the body that made the allegations.

I hope, in the interests of having a professional media in Greece, there is also a way for the newspapers who printed the completely spurious and unfounded allegations to also be sued to the full extent of the law.

In my opinion, the reporting of this “story” has shown the Greek press to be in complete dereliction of their duty to provide well researched and accurate reporting.

This case shows the Greek media are prepared to print derisory statements against the countries politicians with absolutely no evidence. The Greek media has also show they are prepared to treat as fact hearsay.

I hope the parties concerned use the full force of the law to protect not only their reputation but that of the country in the eyes of the international community.
