There are 2 main political beliefs capitalism and socialism/fascism
Under a socialist government people are not free to live in a truly capitalistic way because people are forced to pay taxes even if they do not want to.
On the other hand with true capitalism people are free to live however they want, if you want to live in a socialist way you are free to do so, if you want to live in a truly capitalistic way ie you only pay the taxes you agree with.
So the question is this, if people are free to live however they want to live is democracy necessary and does democracy give governments the excuse to restrict people’s freedom in the name of democracy?
