Jerry Brito, however, who is the Director of the Technology Policy Program at George Mason University, says that business and individuals are already proactively protecting themselves, he says it is hard to imagine what the government could do better than what people and business are doing already.
With regards to cyber attacks, he says it is hard to imagine how any mass loss of life could be caused by an act of cyber terrorism.
He also names the usual suspects, Liebermann and McCain, as blowing the potential threats of cyber terrorism out of proportion.
It is sad that common sense comes as such a shock, especially if you have been watching code wars on MSNBC
