Just going through the highlight reel of the Kansas Chiefs Buffalo Bills game. It was supposed to be for CJ Spiller but Cordy Glenn was the stand out.
According to his stats on the NFL.com website he weighs 345lbs and is 6-6 and to watch him on the web video you would have to agree, the man is a mountain, he could probably stand still and block most defensive line men in their tracks but Glenn (Facebook) is much more than an offensive lineman. The guy is probably the best lead out guy for a running back I have seen.
I said he was big but he can also move and while he can’t keep up with Spiller in the open field (who can?) in traffic he has the pace and the agility and the strength and the presence of mind to make a heavily protected, mobile canally heading directly for the end zone. Forget east-west. Spiller & Glenn only work north-south.
Granted its early in the season and the Bills got an absolute whopping from the Jets and granted the Chiefs defense looked to be missing in action but this one-two street fighter combo of Spiller and Glenn is going to cause problems all over the place this season and I personally cannot wait to hear Merril Hoge’s comments!
